Texas Greek Picnic Weekend

Welcome to the 4th annual Texas Greek Picnic. This year's electrifying event will take place August 4th-7th in downtown Houston and there are a number of new additions to this premier weekend. Listed below are a few new additions that have been added to our weekend:

This year’s weekend will welcome over 10,000 people to downtown Houston. Our staff has worked hard to insure our brand and value will remain high. For our second year we have enlisted several interns spread out across the United States to assist in our marketing efforts

History of Our Organization

Our organization was founded in 2008 to create unity among all collegiate Greek lettered organizations regardless of race or gender. In our inaugural year we partnered with the Houston Food Bank to help further cause of creating opportunities for young people to improve their community. Over the last two years we watched the Texas Greek Picnic become a national event. People from all over the United States travel to Houston every summer to attend our event. We are proud of this achievement, but our goals are still far away.

Assisting in Education

In 2011 our organization has restructured its mission to align more with the current state of our nation. A portion of the proceeds from the 4th Annual Texas Greek Picnic will go to the “Texas Greek Picnic Young Leader Scholarship”. High School seniors will be able to compete for a $2,500 scholarship this spring. Applicants will have to display their ability to lead and their desire to continue their education. This will be our mission and focus through the duration in the upcoming years.
